About Carol Jackson

As a youth, I spent many hours doodling. I found it very relaxing and it also allowed me to explore my creative side.

In high school, I was the successful candidate of a marketing contest creating the logo for the Frontenac Board of Education;  used from 1973 to 1999.  I was, also, amazed when an art professor, from Queen's University, had visited my art class and asked to purchase a painting I was working on that day. He encouraged me to pursue an art career.

Unfortunately, life had other priorities. However, I promised myself that when I retired I would pursue some form of artistic endeavour.

Retirement finally happened and in 2013 and I started my journey by taking a couple of evening courses, at St Lawrence College, in Kingston. Then, in the Spring of 2014, I was very fortunate to have had someone recommend that I check out the Bath Artisans' Club.  Impressed with the members and their welcoming manner, I quickly took up their invitation to join them. They have been a great source of inspiration, encouragement and friendship.

In the summer of 2016, I joined the Greater Napanee Area and Art Association; another wonderful group of artists.

I'm still learning through shared information from co-artists, workshops, and the internet.

It's great to be creative again!
